ABOUT CATO
Hi! I’m Andrea — the designer, maker and heart behind CatoCato Dolls
Where It All Began
My creative journey began around 2017–2018, when I started customizing Monster High dolls by repainting their faces, rerooting their hair and learning to sew tiny outfits. Those early experiments — full of trial, error and passion — became the foundation of everything I do today.
Falling in Love with Doll Fashion
With time, I discovered how much joy there was in transforming dolls and bringing small details to life. I began sewing for Blythe, Barbie and later, when Rainbow High dolls launched in 2020, I completely fell in love. Their fashion-forward style, bold designs and detailed accessories deeply resonated with my aesthetic, so I dove right in. Sewing for dolls may be a long and delicate process, but once you pick up a needle and thread… you never really put it down.
Expanding Into 3D Design & Original Creations
As my skills grew, so did my curiosity for new mediums. Today, alongside sewing, I also design 3D accessories, shoes and original creations such as Art Toys and future collectible pieces. I work with two main programs: Blender and Nomad Sculpt.
Both tools allow me to merge my love for handmade craft with my passion for digital design. Whether I’m sewing a miniature outfit, sculpting a new accessory or painting a doll, I put a lot of love and care into every single piece. I want each creation to feel special, meaningful and crafted with purpose.
Everything you see in my shop — from doll fashion to 3D accessories and original characters — is created by me with patience, dedication and the joy of making something unique.
